Art
Placing at the Art Fair, walking away when it got hard, and finding my pride again.
Since I was in kindergarten, I knew I liked art. Back then, I was proud of my art and excited about what I would draw next. From first to seventh grade, I always placed either first, second, or third in my school's Art Fair.
After I stopped placing, I realized how much room my art has to grow. For the next few months, I stayed away from art, thinking that if I continued to draw, anyone who saw it would judge. I spent those months instead looking at art tutorials and videos on YouTube.
The next time I felt like putting pencil to paper and actually drawing, my art looked a lot more improved from the last time I drew. From that point on, I started saving art videos and analyzing styles so the next time I truly felt like drawing, I would feel prepared and confident as well. I'm no Picasso, but at least when I draw now, I have the same pride I used to have in my art.
